Co-Founder
With 19 years' experience in the construction and earthworks industry, Shane has progressed from general labourer to Technical Manager, gaining hands-on experience across every stage of earthworks delivery.
Having worked alongside site teams, engineers, estimators and contractors, he brings a unique blend of practical construction knowledge and technical expertise. This enables him to bridge the gap between Ground Investigation, Earthworks Specification and successful project delivery.
Specialising in geotechnical risk assessment, earthworks strategy, material reuse, stabilisation, quality assurance and compliance, Shane's focus is on turning complex ground information into practical, commercially driven solutions that reduce risk, protect programmes and maximise value.
As Co-Founder of Ground Strata Solutions, Shane is committed to providing independent, straightforward advice built on real project experience — helping clients make informed decisions and deliver compliant earthworks with confidence.

With 10 years' experience in the earthworks industry, George has developed a strong understanding of project delivery from both site and office perspectives, working with some of the UK's leading earthworks contractors across a range of complex projects.
Starting his career on-site, George gained valuable hands-on experience before progressing into technical roles involving Ground Investigation reviews, Earthworks Strategies, Inspection and Test Plans, quality assurance and Verification Reports. This practical background allows him to understand the challenges faced by both construction teams and overseeing geotechnical engineers, ensuring technical requirements are translated into effective, buildable solutions.
George's strengths lie in his ability to build strong relationships, think innovatively and approach challenges with a proactive mindset. His commitment, attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile enable him to support clients in reducing risk, improving efficiency and achieving successful project outcomes.
